GOB Retail February Newsletter
Greetings and salutations.
Tis that wonderful time once more for the monthly GOB newsletter. This month we've got some additional store reorganization we're working on, some great restocks and a host of upcoming events.
New Board Game Rental Service
GOB Retail has recently launched a board game rental service. You can now rent games for up to 5 days. A chance to try some games out before you buy. Rent any game and if you like it and decide to buy when you return your rental, we'll roll your rental fee over and reduce it from the cost of buying the game. Miniatures Game Section Has Moved :
The miniatures section has completed its move. It is now mostly located along the north wall. This allowed us to get a lot better presentation for our Warhammer and Age of Sigmar lines, consolidated all of our Warmachine into one display area and gave some more breathing room for Heroclix, Star Wars X-Wing, Legion and Armada so they are not longer cluttered. Citadel and Army Painter paints and supplies are now easily found at the forward end caps of each miniatures isle. We're also going to have a cool wargaming demo table right there at the entrance to the miniatures section, so we can better show off our miniature games to potential new players.
Board and Card Game Reorganization Close to Complete
So we've moved board wargames and the strategy game selections over to our east wall where miniatures used to be. We also consolidated our Living Card Games into a nicer display along the same wall and have a display case dedicated to assorted small format board and card game expansions. This area will be completed with dedicated displays for our board and card game clearance stock and our forthcoming used board game area plus the additional of two new board game demo tables near the board game kiosk.
Role-Playing Game Section Reorg.
The re-organization is allowing us to gather all of our RPG miniatures and miniature accessories into one isle right across from our role-playing books. This expansion will also let us get all of our D&D consolidated into one section plus create a lot of new display space to face out a lot on independant game systems to make them easier to browse.
Comics Section Expansion
As the last stage of the reorganization, our comic section will be growing. This will allow us to keep expanding our used selection, already nearing 80,000 titles. Its also going to let us expand and better organize our massive collection of Comic Complete Bundles, now more than 1,300 available in the store. In the next month or two, you will also see completely updated comics, graphic novels and comic bundles sections on our website. These will support vastly improved search functions. We recently completed enhancements to our comic subscription system, so if you haven't checked that out recently, give it a look. We'll also be adding an Comic Kiosk so we can offer these search functions and comic subscription system in store as well. You can check out the comic subscription system here:

| Keyforge Sealed Deck Event ($11) - With Keyforged finally restocked, GOB will be hosting its first sealed Keyforge event. What this entails is all players get an all new Keyforge deck and will play a 3 round swiss event to see who can wield their deck the best. Store credit as prize to 1st place. |

| Dungeon Masters Workshop ($10 or free) - $10 entry or free with any in store purchase of $50 or more. Come learn how to be a Dungeon Master. In this 3 hour workshop we'll go thru all the ins and outs of DMing, from overseeing character creation, setting up adventures, handling troublesome players, dealing with the unexpected and so much more. |
