Its that joyous time once more for the monthly GOB Newsletter? Are you excited? Ok, ok, but seriously, we do have a few cool things to talk about. We'll try and make it quick.
Magic: Ravnica Allegiance Pre-Releases This Weekend
Ravnica Allegiance pre-release are this weekend (Jan 19th and 20th). GOB will be hosting 4 pre-release events. These will be held at:
Friday Night (Midnight)
Saturday 2pm
Saturday 8pm
Sunday 1pm
Your chance to come out and play the new Ravnica Allegiance a week before it releases. Everyone who comes out and plays get s a bonus Booster pack of Ravnica Allegiance just for playing through to the end (regardless of win record). We're seeing record interest and pre-sign ups for this pre-release, so we encourage you to sign up in advance.

Ravnica Allegiance Booster Boxes Early Release
You can get full booster boxes of Ravnica Allegiance this weekend, nearly a full week before the sets actual release day. If you have pre-ordered already, you can pick up your boxes any time this Saturday or Sunday. If you haven't ordered yet, we have additional quantities available for the early Saturday/Sunday release, but supplies are limited. You can order in store or online at:

GOB Board Game Rental Library
Just launched!. You can now rent any of the more than 200 games we have available in the GOB demo library. You can take games home for up to 5 days and if you liked the game you rented, when you bring your rental back, we'll apply your rental fee as a discount against the purchase of a new copy of that game. You can read all about the new Rental Library at the link below and check on the availability of each game.

Miniatures Section Relocation
So we've begun moving some things around at the store. In a major way. Every section of the store will ultimately be impacted. To give our Miniatures selection and expanding Warhammer lines room to expand, we're moving them to a new section along our north wall. This gives us more room to display and organize our miniatures section. We are also in the process of building a 2' x 4' miniatures demo table that will stand right at the entrance to the new miniatures section and have some great looking terrain and painted armies for running miniature demos right there on the retail floor.
This transition will give our board and card game section room to breath. We'll be adding new shelves to expand our board game clearance section. And in the coming months, we'll be launching our used board game consignment section. We'll also be getting a couple showcases right there in the board game section so we can more closely display the assorted small game expansions near their parent games. Towards the end of all of this shifting around, we'll see the addition of two dedicated demo tables in the board game section where we will be able to showcase and offer demos for 2 different games every week. And finally, we have some big plans to revisions and expansions of the board game kiosk functionality and display.
As we shift some things around, we'll be getting some additional display space in our role-playing section. We'll finally be able to put the Wiz-Kids figure line, Terrain Crates and other miniatures and accessories in display that are actually IN the RPG section (revolutionary, we know). New displays are also going to allow us to showcase and display a much broader selection of mid sized and indie role-playing games.
And finally, this reorganization will be letting us expand our comic section. More room for the expanding selection of back issues, as we draw closer to having 100,000 unique back issues available. Our expanding section of Complete Comic Bundles will get better displayed and finally organized by publisher so it'll all be easier to browse and find the titles you are looking for. And lastly, there are plans for a new Comic Kiosk to help everyone manage their comic subscriptions and search our available inventory and comic keys.
Just a snapshot of the projects underfoot here at GOB. New year brings change, and hopefully all the for the better! We are looking forward to how each of these transformations will empower us to better serve you.
