GOB Retail September Newsletter
Greetings,
As fall begins to settle in, here at GOB haven't slowed down a bit. We've got a lot of pokers in the fire and lots to talk about, so diving right in.
Dungeon Masters Workshop - Sat October 19th @ 5pm
GOB will be hosting its 3rd annual Dungeon Masters Workshop on Saturday, October 19th starting at 5pm. This workshop lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and we cover all the nuts and bolts of learning to Dungeon Master. We'll go over character creation and character backgrounds, running combats, creating NPCs and monsters, creating adventures and campaigns, setting up plot hooks and so much more. Workshop will be headed by GM staffer and experience DM Griffin Holmes, with old school game master Ryan Johnson sitting in to share some of his tricks of the trade. The workshop will close with an extensive Q&A and forum chat. We are starting to accept sign ups for this event and it will have a maximum seating for 40 people. The event will cost $15, or you can sign up FREE with any purchase at GOB of $50 or more.
Magic Throne of Eldraine Pre-Releases
Throne of Eldraine is coming. GOB will be hosting pre-releases the weekend of September 27th - 29th. This is your chance to come out and play the set a week before it releases. Throne of Eldraine looks to be a fun story tale themed set that should be a blast to play in limited in sealed events. 4 Pre-Releases will be held on the following dates/times :
- Friday, Sept 27th 8pm
- Saturday, Sept 28th 2pm
- Saturday, Sept 28th 8pm
- Sunday, Sept 29th 1pm
Everyone who plays in a pre-release to its completion, regardless of win record, will get a bonus booster pack of Throne of Eldraine. Pre-Register now and play for $27.95 per event ($30 at the door). New Board Game Consignment Sales
GOB launched a new section this month. Board games on consignment. Mosty used (but could be a new one) that our customers bring in to sell. This is helping us to broaded our already enormous selection of board games to include games not traditionally available at retail. Out of print, kickstarters, imports and stuff simply not available through distribution for stores like ours to be able to order. That, and ust good old fashion used copies of stuff we might carry. So come check it out. AND, if you have some used games of your own and would like to sell them to get store credit for some new games, for a limited time, we'll allowing sellers the option to put as many as 10 titles on consignment at once.

New Weekly Events
Family Board Game Night - Every Friday
Friday nights are now Family Board Game Night. Starting around 6-6:30, drop on by to play some of your favorite board games or try some new ones. Meet fellow gamers. Bring your favorite games and recruit players or try their favorites or explore any of the 200+ games in the GOB Library. At 7pm we demo a different board game each week also.
Pokemon League Sundays
Every Sunday at 1:30pm is an all ages Pokemon League. $5 entry and each player gets any Pokemon Booster of their choice and 1 random Pokemon single and then gets to play in a 3 round event. Play time is estimated at 3 hours.
Magic Pauper Tuesdays
Tuesday nights are now Pauper Night for Magic starting at 6:30. Depending on attendance, we will be alternating between 3 rounds of swiss head to head play or pods of multi-player. $2 entry. We pize out $2 per player in store credit or $3 in Magic points.

The POP Culture Expansion
So in our last newsletter we had discuss some fairly big changes happening to parts of the store. That is the march to expanding Pop Culture collectibles and gear at GOB. Some of that has already been coming in. We have a decent selection of jewelry, pins, keychains, magnets, tin signs, lanyards, posters and art prints in already. We put in some great showcases for our expanding selection of statues and have also begun expanding action figures. There is plenty more of that and other POP Culture goodies incoming, so come check it out as it evolves. Arriving next week...backpacks and wallets too!
