| Event Details: | GOB Dungeon Masters Workshop - Fri April 10th Welcome role-players. GOB Retail Games and Comics in Clawson, MI is happy to announce the upcoming event of our Dungeon Masters Workshop schedule for Friday, April 10th starting at 6:30pm. There will be a $10 entry fee, waived when you purchase some RPPG goodies from GOB (see below) The Dungeon Masters Workshop is a seminar-like event where two speakers from GOB will talk about their experience in the Dungeon Mastering role. Much of the advise, however, is system agnostic so you may consider this the Dungeon Master/Game Master/Story Teller/Realm Master, etc, etc Workshop. Your speakers for this event will be: Maggie GOB Associate of GOB D&D Summer Camp Fame and our monthly learn to play D&D events. Maggie in a newer Dungeon Master, entering the fray within the last couple of years, but is our resident expert on the current iteration of Dungeons and Dragons with a few other systems under her belt as well. Ryan Part owner of GOB Retail and veteran grognard. Bit my teeth on DMing with D&D 1st Edition back in the primordial times and also have run D&D 2nd Edition, Vampire, Rifts, Robotech, Call of Cthulhu, TWERPS, and a lot of other forgetable systems. Also co-designer for the Dark Realms, WHAT? and Heroes Forever RPG systems. The Format for this event will be as follows: Maggie and Ryan shall share their experiences on a list of subjects covering the following topic groups (you can see the complete list further below). Character Building Dungeon Master Play Styles Adventure Building Plot Mechanics Challenging Group Scenarios Following the topic list we will have a period for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Ed (and, 2024 updated version) for the discussion of D&D specific mechanics with suggestions (opinions) on how to handle them. And lastly an open Q&A period to discuss any Dungeon Master/Game Master/Story Teller/Realm Master/etc issues you want to bring up. We'll do our best to answer them and maybe others present may have suggestions as well. --------------------------------- You can sign up to attend the Dungeon Masters Workshop now. There is a $10 entry fee, which we will waive if you are purchasing $50 (or more) (pre-Tax) of any role-playing game books, modules, adventures, box sets, miniatures or other accessories on the day you are signing up. We will be limiting attendance to the first 50 persons to sign up. Once you are signed up, if you also register for the event in the Gamer Finder we'll be randomly giving away a few door prizes too.
