    Summary Review
Detailed ReviewThis is an amazing worker placement and resource management game. Beyond the easy-to-learn game play, the game allows for multiple means to achieve victory; and it adapts well to any number of players.

Stone Age is a 2-4 player game wherein each player assumes control of a Neolithic tribe trying to prosper in the unforgiving world of prehistory. The game focuses on securing shelter and growing your individual tribe's culture as the primary means to achieving victory points. Your tribe can also develop tools (assist in dice rolling), develop agriculture, gather food and other resources (to build your huts and score victory points) and reproduce to grow the number of available workers.

Each turn, players place workers on locations to perform certain actions; such as gather food, various resources, built a hut, visit the toolmaker, etc. When a player places his/her workers on a given location, they may place as many workers as they wish; up to the number of available spaces at that location. Several locations (toolmaker, birthing hut, agriculture) have limited number of spaces. All of the resource locations have more spaces available for workers. Only the hunting grounds (to get food) has an unlimited number of spaces available.

Once every player has placed their workers, they then perform all of the actions in the order their choosing. For resources and food, players roll a number of dice equal to the number of placed workers. Based on the difficulty of the resource and their die roll, players gain resources or food.

The game ends when the civilization deck (for developing culture) runs out or a given stack of huts runs out. The player with the most victory points wins.

This game is tons of fun! I cannot recommend it enough.

Summary ReviewStone Age is a fantastic mid range Worker Placement with dice rolls. Top notch components work well along with amazing visuals. Easy to learn and with multiple options of strategies, every game can be different and fun.
Detailed ReviewStone Age is a fantastic mid range worker placement game which includes the random luck of dice rolls.
    Components:
The board design and artwork is fantastic and detailed. Even the back of the board contains artwork relevant to the game.
The Cards and tile in the game are high quality and hold up well to use. The artwork is detailed and very well done.
The Dice are made of wood and very functional, though light weight. They work wonderfully along side the leather cup.
All the resources are uniquely designed making identification and handling extremly simple.
    Gameplay:
Stone age is a slightly more complex worker placement game than something like Lords of Waterdeep. Stone Age introduces multiple rounds in a turn where everyone places meeples down followed by taking the actions of removing them afterwards. Then you need to feed your meeples. Each action around the board can have implications immediately or further down the road.
    Pros:
Fairly easy to catch on after you learn the few differences from entry level worker placement games.
    Top notch components
    Fun gameplay
Tons of ways to play and win
    Cons:
Randomness can make some players angry but that is where tools come in handy
Could use a few more elements
Feeding can be an annoying task at times.
Depending on strategies, games can take a lot longer than you would expect.

Overall, I would highly recommend Stone Age to anyone who loves worker placement games.
