Lost Legacy: Vorpal Sword and Whitegold Spire

    Rating: 7Reviewed By: Tony Dee08/09/2017
Summary ReviewVorpal Swoard & Whitegold Spire adds a touch of magic to the Lost Legacy science fiction theme. The amazing thing about this game is how modular the experience can be: take a set, add it to a set you like, etc. The reason this set scores so low is because Whitegold Spire's mechanics needlessly overcomplicate the otherwise simplistic (but not without depth or strategery) Lost Legacy game. In Whitegold Spire, you'll flip cards over, and this somehow adds to the bluffing component. Its an extra step that takes time away from multiple games of LL.

Luckily, Vorpal Sword brings the pain in a really rad way. Unlike Starship or Flying Garden, this set is all about winning in the pre-endgame phase, which makes for some heated games for sure.
Detailed ReviewLost Legacy is a card game that utilizes deck management and bluffing to win. Lost Legacy is a micro game with many expansions that can be combined, compiled, and specialized based on how you like the play the game. The versatility of Lost Legacy's many expansions does wonders for this quick game's replayability and depth. In Lost Legacy, you're always looking for the titular card, the Lost Legacy, and there's a different one in each set of play. IN these boxed sets, there are two Lost Legacy sets that can be played together, separately, or in any combination with other Lost Legacy sets.

Vorpal Swoard & Whitegold Spire adds a touch of magic to the Lost Legacy science fiction theme. While every Lost Legacy game requires players to play, bluff, and guess their way through the small deck to endgame and then guess (or know, hopefully) the location of the Lost Legacy card, it is most likely in Sacred Grail & Staff of Dragons that you'll have killed your opponent before they get the chance to guess.

Games are fast, the art is awesome, and you'll play again, and again, and again. Vorpal Sword is the single best set of Lost Legacy cards, its just too bad which set comes along in the box...
